Communities + Coalition Building

Working together to create
a lived equality

Equality for all

“Equality of Rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex.”

While the effort to amend the Constitution to include sex equality began nearly a century ago and was focused mainly on the work of white women, our renewed efforts are inclusive and diverse – centered on leadership in the Black, Native American/Alaska Native and Women of Color communities, including transgender women/girls, gender-expansive individuals, and those who are most vulnerable to systemic inequities.

ERA Coalition

  • The sister organization to the Fund for Women’s Equality, working with partner organizations to provide a strong, multigenerational, inclusive forum for all voices.
  • Building the groundswell moving towards equality.
  • Fighting on Capitol Hill and at the federal, state, and local levels to garner support for the Equal Rights Amendment.
  • Offering research, education, legal experts and more to help guide and shape the conversation around the ERA.

Corporate Equality Roundtable

  • A group of corporations in support of equal rights, both externally and internally.

  • The goal is to elevate equal rights to a standard practice within the corporate sector.

  • Under the aegis of the Fund for Women’s Equality, each council member will contribute towards establishing a standard for equal rights in the workplace and supporting programs that promote equality.

Equal Voice | Equal Future Media Hub

  • Sharing online news reports, blogs, videos, and other media to reveal and spotlight the diverse stories of inequality and resistance by and about underrepresented communities.
  • Creating the “ERA Beat” to cover issues that will promote a
    feminist of color lens.
  • Hiring reporters and journalists from Black and brown communities that will grow the industry, to expand the coverage, to expand the network, to bring young people of color into this work.
