The goal of the Gail Awards is to help ensure that no one can be discriminated against because of their gender. As of 2022, it is the only show that donates its proceeds.

The fee is $125 per entry per category, and all proceeds will be donated to the Fund for Women’s Equality (FFWE) and entries will be judged by an esteemed panel of high-profile professionals in the field of creative design, advertising, and media.
The Fund for Women’s Equality is a national organization that promotes sex equality in the United States. It seeks bold change and is helping lead a community and political movement for Constitutional recognition of the Equal Rights Amendment. It works to increase public understanding of the need for codifying the equal treatment of people on the basis of sex in the Constitution, and the need to end sex inequality in all its forms. It is a sister organization to the ERA Coalition, which works for the passage and ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment and broader Constitutional equality.
